Food was good. Much better value in comparison to other places. Portion sizes were great for the price. Covid restrictions meant the meal was placed on a table away from us, then we would have to collect it ourselves. Cetainly not the worst system for protecting staff. The place itself was clean and furnishings were nice and modern. Worth a visit if you're in the area and in need of a meal. Visited 23/10/2020

Only dropped by for a Coffee which was very good (Double Espresso). Young Couple and their first baby I was there to meet had bacon rolls which looked good and I wished I hadn't eaten beforehand. Social Distancing arrangements/washrooms etc all correct and the service was cheerful and prompt. Poundbury is a special place these days and everyone says hello, even on a cold blustery day. That makes The Engine Room a destination.

Brilliant food. Jacket potatoes and sandwiches with a lovely salad. A generous range of cake too. The staff are mostly pleasant. There's free parking too.

I love eating here. Always a smile when I walk through the door. Staff cant do enough.
