Wife and I, had lunch, soup and a fish finger sandwich on my preferred choice of granary bread. Wife also had the mushroom and truffle soup followed by the vegetarian club sandwich and coffee for two. Excellent food, very tasty and a very relaxing atmosphere on the top floor. Service very friendly, a little slow in coming but understandable as everything beautifully freshly cooked. Highly recommended

Great food with good atmosphere. Only drawback was the steak knives being blunt, luckily I didn't get the steak . Halloumi fries and a fish finger sandwich followed by cheesecake. Lots of choices for all tastes.

Went for a friend's 30th, staff were SO lovely and helpful with keeping our cake to one side to bring out as a surprise! And the food was absolutely delicious. Took some home with us. Thank you to everyone at The Emporium for a lovely night !

We had the ham hock with the celeriac coleslaw which was delicious, as was the fish finger sandwich. Staff were efficient and friendly. A very pleasant experience to follow our walk around the castle and along the river.

The Emporium is a popular venue with a tiered open space the place is very clean with covid precautions in place. I visited early lunch time only a few customers in later on it became busy & noisy with the open plan dining making it difficult to hear conversations around the table The staff are very pleasant & accommodating .The service was on the slow side so if a working lunch could be a problem for those diners. The menu was a little basic , i had the Colmans sausages on ciabatta bread with side salad & chips , i was disappointed with my meal the sausages were lukewarm resembling pre cooked & microwaved , the salad was a poor selection , the chunky chips had little taste .I was with a group of three one had the same as me & thought the same the other person had a different meal and was satisfied . For me i would try the many cafe & restaurants in the town .
