A typical Wetherspoon's pub serving good, down to earth food and reasonably priced drinks. Have good track and trace systems in place and in the current Covid pandemic it's a safe place to visit.

Me and the Mrs were here yesterday. Put the app on my phone to make life easier. No problems outside , someone to take our contact details, explained how to order inside . Trying to find a clean table was impossible, not really acceptable under the current climate. Coffee was like warm and so was food. Usual Spoons set up but not executed well. I shall not be using any spoons pubs again until this is over if this is what I can expect.
Visited lunchtime today(15/10/20) very disappointed. No body asked if we had filled in track and trace. Service at table ok. I’ve never experienced a meal quite like it. We both had Empire State burger it was presented very nicely however when we started eating all the salad was on the bottom covered by two of the greasiest tasteless burgers I’ve ever had simply couldn’t eat them, squeezed the bun and grease oozed out of it. The onion rings were no better, the chips arrived hot but within a minute had lost there warmth All in all a bloody awful meal will never return.

Stopped there as we needed to stop in Morpeth for fuel and fancied somewhere to eat. To be honest it was just closest to the car park we found! The staff were fantastic and I explained I can't eat certain dairy (yup I'm one of those but I was doing this before it was cool!) And the brilliant waitresses brought me the dairy free menu and allergen folder. The allergen folder, unlike many other establishments, is out for anyone to read which is just fantastic. The staff had clearly been well trained and very knowledgeable. Food was great, cheap and drinks were great. It was busy which is a good sign on a Saturday afternoon. Would love to go back again if we are in the area again.
