Stopped here on our walk for lunch. A really lovely pub in a great setting off the beaten track. Two cask ales available. The one tried, Timothy Taylor's , was the best sampled since lockdown. Friendly staff, good food , excellent beer at great value. Lots of well spaced tables inside and out. A massive garden and ample parking. A great pub hard to beat.
This is a family favourite pub of ours. We pop in here every few months for lunch and have never been disappointed. Food is always very tasty and generous portion sizes. Staff are always pleasant and welcoming.
I love this place... lovely garden, very friendly staff... but please bring back that traditional cooking!!! The food today was ok, chicken just a tad dry and the chips had that taste of the oil in need of being refreshed. Really get that home cook menu and you will have that place fuller than a Queen concert back in the day... Sunday roast carvery would be lovely too. Good quality sauce is in need too, as your packets of ketchup and mayo are really low taste quality... for many having a good sauce makes a massive difference, as we all love to sauce our chips :) Anyway guys, take this as feedback, I will still visit again and will look forward to when I can give you 5 stars for the perfect food choice. Understand things are not running the same, so am thinking near future. Make the food memorable as there isn't many pubs near that do, and I'd rather support our community then go to another area. cheers :)
