The food was fantastic and the service was the same. We were welcomed with a friendly smile and taken to or seats. Social distancing was met and there was a lot of space. Orders were quick and the food was amazing. Definitely worth a visit if you can.

The tables were appropriately spaced & the staff were suitably wearing protective masks & gloves. While it appeared to be not a particularly busy evening we were subjected to rather a long wait for our order to be delivered to our table. The food was however excellent & somewhat made up for the wait.
We are lucky enough to be on a short overnight trip to NI,and required a feed before we go for the 10.30 pm ferry from Belfast to Liverpool.We both chose rib eye,rare and medium rare ,chunky chips,and tobacco onions.peppercorn sauce,blue cheese sauce.What can I say,totally blown away,as good as my mums,and that's very hard to match.The steak was absolutely divine,lovely crisp but soft centred chips,and the onions are a must,Both sauces were served separate,and again top quality.If ever I find myself in NI again and close to hear ,I will be back.Not forgetting top attention from the Barman,friendly flexible and obliging.Food and service of this quality are hard to find.This is Gem.
Cycled down for an outside covid pint. The place has such a relaxed atmosphere and the staff are wonderful and attentive. The bar looks like it hasn't changed in 100 years. Full of original character.
