Well kept ales with a variety of styles for most tastes and at what value: 2-50 a pint is value and a half! Staff display warm Lancastrian hospitality and a revelry in traditional pub experience. It's a while since I drank from a barrel glass. Interesting selection of posters of music and comedy acts who have performed in local venues.

Although it's small this pub is packed with character, the staff are very welcoming, and other patrons were also friendly and chatty, which is a welcome change from your typical grumbly punters in the local!
