I came here about 10 years ago and had a steak and it was wonderful. I made it back in 2021 and the steaks they stayed their amazing selves. The Whiskey Filet is such an amazing piece of meat. Its sweet and juicy and prepared so perfectly. The asparagus I had on the side was cooked just as well. Warm but still crunchy and seasoned well. The staff was very cordial and the atmosphere is very enjoyable. The Drover is a must hit place whenever I hit Omaha. One of the best steak restaurants in the town.

My wife and I wanted a to have a celebratory takeout dinner after we both received raises at work. In searching out Omaha's best steak houses, we found The Drover, where neither of us had ever been. I ordered the Whiskey Ribeye, with fries and chicken tortilla soup, and my wife got the salmon with rice and a salad. Entrees include a nice loaf of wheat bread that we really enjoyed. The meal was great - definitely one of the best steaks I've ever had from a restaurant, and the fries were excellent too. They were thick and well-cooked. Both of us were pleasantly surprised at how great the soup was as well; very hearty and flavorful. The salmon was excellent. No fishy taste at all, and it included a delicious white sauce to go over the top. The wife loved the rice so much that I didn't see a bite, though this wasn't a large portion, which surprised me a little. The only thing we didn't love was the turtle cheesecake. It didn't remind me much of cheesecake at all honestly; it was missing that signature, soft cheesiness that good cheesecake has. This one was a bit too dry for me. Overall though, we'd probably order again! Prices were pretty decent, especially when compared to the other steak houses in town. In my research, some of them seem to charge a bit more for the same cuts of meat, and sometimes don't even include sides.
Terrific experience. Amazing food. Went to celebrate a friend's birthday. The staff was great, never had empty drinks. Atmosphere was relatively private. We had that night's Special, 38oz Tomahawk. IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT. We will be going back!
The experience I’ve had in this restaurant was phenomenal. The timing and courteousness of the staff was remarkable. The steaks were done to the T and I would recommend as one of the best steakhouses in Omaha. The Drover is surely a hidden gem.
We recently moved to Omaha and wanted to try amazing steak. After recommendations, I took my husband to the Drover for his birthday. It did not disappoint! He got the signature filet, and I got the whiskey marinated prime rib. Both were delicious and we had some to take home! We are planning a trip back for Valentine’s Day and don’t even plan to try a different steakhouse, we are hooked!
