This one is a good laid back old style pub .... it has a nice indoor as well as outdoor sitting .... the pub serves variety of good ales on the tap and the food is great .... I tried the Indian food which was very good... the pub also has screens so you can enjoy ya favourite game while enjoying ya drink ... it has a pool table and couple of gaming machines too
So happy to see the Downsman back in business after having to close for a short while. Feel so safe there. I am amazed at the painstaking lengths they have gone to over and above what has been suggested to ensure the pub is as safe as possible for their customers. I have heard they regularly deep clean and could see the measures they have put in place for social distancing, using plastic glasses, PPE, screens and have hand sanitising stations in place giving peace of mind to all their customers and probably staff too
Great customer service, very friendly and helpful staff.
Visited this pub on numerous occasions with family and friends. Good and spacious seating area. Great variety of beers and curries to choose from. Serves Indian food (spicy and hot) Quick and prompt service. Busy crowd over the weekends and match days !
