If you are planning a golf break, definitely give serious thought to this venue. 3 good loops of 9 in great condition, excellent staff members and fantastic food. Our society has been 4 times and never returned less than 100% happy and have booked for yet another trip next year. Very Covid aware, but dont let it intrude on your visit. If you give it a go, you will not be disappointed.

I attended a 32 man strong golf society in Sept 18 playing 4 days and staying on site in Lodge 4. The Good: The Lodges were amazing, huge and perfectly set up for groups on golf weekends and get away from the others and play poker etc. Sauna, fridge freezer, TV, decent beds and showers could not be faulted and cleaned daily. The golf courses are pretty decent, Woodland is tight, Lakeland was my favourite. Buggies are available but you need to book and pay well in advance. The not so good: Food was average. Bacon at breakfast was barely cooked one day, the orange juice had a weird fizzy taste. Fish and chips paid for at bar was okay. The staff are really unfriendly to the point were you feel a bit unwelcome. The dress code is ridiculous when you look at the horrible decor in the bar (whicker chairs straight from the local garden centre sale), if it was posh you could understand but it looks a bit run down. It’s a long way to Bournemouth for a night out, we organised a coach which took 45 minutes. Pro shop was okay and staff at least smiled but very small and they didn’t have a screw driver which was weird. Overall 8/10, highly recommended for large groups just don’t expect a warm welcome

We had a great time there. A very warm welcome from George in the pro shop and considering the wintry weather lately the course played very well.

Steep price, but pleasant experience. Appropriate for all skill levels and has good variety with it being 3 different style of 9's. Large, quick greens and are in pretty good condition (except in some places near the outside edges). Couple of signs weren't very clearly visible but generally flowed well. Buggys available for hire if needed Car park was 99% full on arrival which likely could become a problem on peak days. No overflow parking that I could see. Spacious seating areas inside and outside of the club house for food and drinks afterwards.

Awesome place !! ..... stayed on Sat 25th of Jan 2020. Myself, my son and his friend stayed for just the one evening expecting a shared room in the hotel (3 single beds) , the package was 2 rounds of golf ,3 course meal with bed n breakfast. On arrival we were greeted by the nicest lady on reception she informed us that a lodge house was made up for us instead of the shared 1 room in the hotel...we were very happy chappies :-) The course was good considering the time of year and amount of rain we had had recently. The food was outstanding and the bar tenders and waitresses were very helpful and made us feel extremely welcome. It was my first time to stay over at the resort although we had played the course before but I was so happy with the way we were looked after by all staff we have booked up for 16 of us next month (March) for a 2 nights stay in 2 lodges. 10 out of 10 to all involved and making it a lovely weekend , many thanx.
