What can u say about the legend of a man who's footballing records still stand after more than 60/70yrs and will possibly (undoubtedly) never be broken. The legend that is William Ralph Dixie Dean.
Google \Dixie Dean Everton\. The greatest goal scorer ever. I pat Dixie's ball before every home match and ask him to bring his glory back to our club. Sometimes he listens and helps, others , well maybe he's busy elsewhere. Whatever the result being part of our great club is visceral.
One of the best tributes to a former player who became a legend. He even sadly died in the ground watching Everton. Take a look at his statue walk around it and you see and believe why he was so powerful and feared but also respected as an opponent and a true gentleman. Dixie we need you now.
A lovely day visiting one of England's most historic football grounds. Felt at home right away due to the friendly family vibe. I hope to return in the future.
