We attended to celebrate our anniversary the staff were so friendly making sure we had everything we needed. The food was amazing, best Thai chicken curry I've ever had. Burger was massive and made just the way hubby wanted it. Portion size was great. We can't fault it. Best meal out for a very long time. Definitely will be returning. Highly recommend it

My family and I turned up at 5 to 2 just before they stopped serving food and the staff were happy to accommodate our group. The waitress was new but very professional and friendly. The quality of the food was fantastic, the pub was clean and the service was great. Highly recommended.

Great pub in a quaint village setting. Only had a drink there (Doom Bar). Enjoyed it but if they had a fire going it would have been really nice as it was a terrible day. Windy, wet and cold. Interesting history with ties to a number of Australian landlords over the years hence Diggers Rest

Brilliant meal. Met with the in-laws who were very nervous re coronavirus but the staff and set up here were fabulously reassuring. Delicious meal and particularly charming and helpful waitress. Strongly recommend!

We ordered the Baked Whole Plaice and the Fish Chips and Peas. The Plaice was nice but I didn't care too much for the fennel and olive accompaniment. The fish and chips were enormous but unseasoned and really quite bland. We finished off with a sorbet and ice cream. On the positive side the straws we had with our drinks were paper and not plastic.
