I have been publicly discriminated by an elder man by the door who rolled his eyes when I said I was on my own. This is 2020 and young, successful women travel! Treat your customers with respect next time. I obviously left and I’m writing this review from another pub, where I felt most welcome.

Cosy no-frills locals pub with good selection of ales and entertainment several times a week. Unfortunately it sometimes attracts some rather foul-mouthed and uncouth youngsters, so on my last visit I finished my first pint and left. Shame!

Five minutes walk from the seafront, up a narrow alley. Well signposted. Next the Hole In The Wall pub. Three ales on draught, the usual keg lagers, beers, stouts and ciders available. Usual pub grub on the menu. My gammon steak was tasty with good presentation and ample portion size. I've had worse, yet not particularly memorable. My suggestion is that if you seek a top meal, more choice of draught beers and no loud TV, you may prefer the Hole In The Wall, across the lane, two minutes walk away. Complimentary WiFi - ask for password.
