Great local community pub with friendly service. Has private rooms for functions very smart newly decorated. Great place to meet friends or have a private party for any occasion. My daughter got engaged here and my grandkids had a christening party booked here for a private family occasion

This review is for the lamp room. Not the Dean tavern. The lamp room was an in house restaurant however management has now changed since originally posting this review. Had been meaning to visit this place for the last year or so. Finally made it and was delighted it lived up to the expectations. All the food was fresh, well prepared and hot! There was plenty of options for our 2 year old and all the staff were friendly and accommodating of our needs. The menu is limited consisting of traditional gastropub items however I appreciate the limited menu is prob why the food is fresh and arrived hot with very generous portions. The restaraunt is adjacent to the pub and has seperate toilet facilities which are kept to a very high standard. The gents had deodorant to use in case u happen to need the lynx effect. Desserts were limited to 3 sundaes and sticky toffee pudding. Again great portions and served promptly after ordering. Yum!
Pub has a great atmosphere considering the covid-19 restrictions. Enjoying a lovely few drinks with family. Was in here a couple of weeks ago for food also which is always amazing and arrives quickly. Staff do a fantastic job looking after everyone. 2nd to nine considering the current circumstances
Fantastic visit, staff member at tables was so friendly and helpful. A great attitude. Loved the way he spoke to people explaining re masks and hand cleaning, he had the right attitude. Food was excellent, will be back for sure
