Walked up a massive hill to eat at a builders cafe basically. Came from out of Margate for a couple days. Thought it was like an American dinner thanks to the menu ( I wasn’t the one checking photos) to find out it’s basically a builders cafe. They have done their best with COVID with separating people. But honestly the vibes and the food were wack. My coffee had some weird coating on the top like the milk had dried up. Mug was dirty, this seems to be a recurring theme from what I see on other reviews. And no I didn’t want to complain at the time because they were so busy. About 10 builders lining up outside the door can’t even get out wanted to run away as fast as possible. If you want a nice breakfast go to the front of the beach and don’t check tripadvisor . LIKE EVER.

Poor management and questionable hygiene left a lot to be desired. The chips that we ordered didn't turn up, and then we had to ask the staff twice to get the hash browns that are supposed to be included in the ”all-in” breakfast. Hygiene wasn’t great. The mugs looked as though they hadn't been washed, (see image) and we found a hair in one of the meals. The radio station wasn't very child-friendly, with several of the songs being quite explicit. Overall, not a pleasant experience. Saved from being one star because the food was alright (if you ignore the hair) and this establishment seems to have a lot of 4-5 star ratings from other reviewers (so it might just have been a one-off blunder for our group.)
