My husband and I had an amazing experience at The Dabney. The service was great and the ambiance was perfect for us (formal but still warm and inviting). We both liked the food better than the food we had at a Michelin 3 star restaurant. It was flavorful and fresh. I already asked my husband to try and re-create the celery root soup. Highly recommend!

I didn’t dine in so I can’t review the service, but I got the holiday carry-out meal and WOW. First off, I ordered for two people and the menu was for two meals, so I expected four meals, essentially. We got 6 large meals. And every item was delicious. I especially enjoyed the charred Brussels sprouts as they had some kind of nut and carried an crunch, the sweet potato rolls with sesame seeds, and the prime rib. The HUGE prime rib. The instructions for reheating were easy to follow, and the presentation was visually stunning, even replated. Also, order the Dabnog. For goddess’ sake, order the dabnog. I don’t even LIKE eggnog and I drank this three nights in a row. It’s hands down the best eggnog I’ve ever had. Pricey...but so, so worth it.

Food was extremely delicious. The snacks each complimented each other. I got the crab, which was luscious and well cooked. Decided to go with the chicken soup on a cold night and oh my gosh... It was the best chicken soup I have ever had. It was so vibrant with the greens and incredibly earthy, tied together with the warm broth.

Went here for a birthday dinner in January of 2021. The entire staff was VERY conscious of COVID protocols, which while some could look at as annoying (we had to put our masks on every time someone approached the table, even if you were mid-bite), but I chose to look at as a restaurant so dedicated to serving great food and keeping staff employee that they were willing to do anything! In a post- COVID world, this restaurant will continue to put patrons and their staff first which is a great quality! The food was phenomenal and was honestly better than anticipated! The ambiance was so cute and fun and made the night feel really special. I can’t wait to go back again!!!!

We’ve been coming here for years and it is consistently our favorite restaurant in DC. Always awesome food, service, and atmosphere.
