Brilliant pub with an amazing location. Great sea views. Very friendly and helpful. Superb food. I would highly recommend this pub to anyone. We visited as a family for lunch. They went the extra mile to help my son who has egg and dairy allergies.

Great location, even if the weather was poor when we visited. Imagine the views would be amazing on a clear day! Friendly service and food was very good
This visit took place during the COVID restrictions so may not represent the norm. Lovely welcome from the well-mannered pub dog. Nice warm atmosphere and cosy interior. We were sitting in the conservatory where we were temporarily forgotten by the waiting staff, who were very honest and apologetic when they realised and more than made up for it. Whitebait starter was ample and very fresh. ENORMOUS portion of veg pie for main - absolutely delicious, amazing pastry, fresh vegetables, crunchy chips, really good. Some might find the menu limited, but personally I'll take an unpretentious pub menu with big portions of well cooked fresh food any day. Exactly what you want from a pub.
Can't beat the location - if you seat outside or just take a quick walk before or after your meal you get treated to possibly some of the best views on the Isle. The service was one of the friendliest I've ever received - the ladies running this place really made us feel at home! I just wish Google allowed half-marks (4.5) - as 4 feels somewhat unfairly low, but then I can't bring myself to give it 5 just on the account of the food. There was absolutely nothing wrong with it - it was fresh and cooked to a standard - but you wouldn't come to this pub just for a gastronomic experience. I would also always love any country pub more if it lost the 5 taps of industrial lagers that all taste exactly the same anyway, and got a couple more cask pumps instead (they do have 3 though, to be fair).
Superb Sunday roast! Excellent value, good quality food, amazing puddings and fantastic staff! Will be back when we are next on the island.
