Excellent food at a reasonable price. Decor needs an uplift. Very friendly staff.
Friendly traditional pub serving excellent local beers and the food was outstanding for quality and value.
Good little spot tractor rally round the back when we were there, nice staff and a good atmosphere lovely beer,
Had a pleasant 2 hours there on 29th June 2019 ; watching the coast to coast cycle race pass by whilst eating lunch on an outside table. Very cosy old style local pub; nice in the winter with a fire blazing. This was a hot 26C day outside though. Ordered from the sandwich collection ; chicken breast with sweet chilli, and tuna with sweetcorn, both accompanied by chips and salad. Finish serving meals at 2pm until the night. Friendly owner and staff; very pleasant. Not a crumb left on either plate; really nice. Varied menu but everything not always available on a given day. Nicely prepared.
