The Staff here Aidan and Andy (if I remember correctly) were so so lovely. They had a problem with the systems so everything had to be done by hand but they didn't stress and was no problem. Food was delicious, didnt leave a morsel from either the Chicken and Ham pie or the Chocolate Brownie. Really great portions, super tasty. I would defo recommend and return for some very decent pub grub.

The pub was beautifully decorated and the staff very friendly, but the food was a big disappointment. The tomato soup we both had was OK. But our main, pan fried duck, was not. The broccoli shoots were rather crunchy as they were undercooked. The duck was very tough. We struggled to cut it with our knives. When we mentioned this to the lady who was serving us, and said we could have done with steak knives, she indicated that the duck would be served with steak knives in future. She did not say that she would mention our comment to the chef, so I doubt the duck will improve. Maybe we should have stuck to the sandwiche menu.
Warm and cozy country pub with well kept beer, great food at reasonable prices and friendly staff and locals. Plenty of seating here. The best feature is the inglenook fireplace that always seems to be burning.
Absolutely love the Crown at Turness Hill, the food is amazing and tasty. The service fab and despite the circumstances it feels safe to go there. Highly recommended
Lovely food in a cosy setting with a real fire, portions were good size even for a 3 course meal. Service was friendly but incredibly slow due to staff not turning up for work!
