We love to go out. Yesterday we visited this excellent place which friends recommended to us. We had a lovely time there with exceptional meal and an experienced stuff and a great chef. We put this venue in our list and we shall surely visit again very soon. Highly recommended.

Great food, I had ribeye and it was well prepared and very tasty. Seating is in a large tent behind the pub, very comfortable and perfect for social distancing.

This spot always delivers. They have fantastic food for convenient prices, there is no waiting time even when the place is packed.

Disappointing wait times for drinks and food considering the price point. Fish and chips exceptional with perfectly battered fish and triple cooked chips. Beef roast very disappointing given its 24 price point. Vegetable portions lacking and beef portion on the low side. Nonetheless, delicious flavour on the beef and delightful texture. Service and roast portion size overall weak points given the pricing.

We have just returned to Sussex from lunch today at 1.30pm. A much anticipated visit to meet my sister and brother in law (booked under the name of Leffman) proved food wise to be very disappointing. The service was pleasant, the ambience fine and we were very happy to accept a wait for food as we know everyone is working under more difficult circumstances at the moment. However the quality of the food when it arrived was, at best poor, and not the standard any of us would have expected. To charge 4.00 for 2 slices of soda bread cut in half cannot be quantified. The trug of 8 small pieces of vegetables with a thimble of hummus was almost an insult to anyone with normal expectations of what would constitute a starter at 9.50. The fish and chips (or rather the batter and chips) was a great disappointment. The batter was thick heavy and overcooked with hardly any sign of any fish when cut into. The burger at 14.00 was charred and overcooked (we were not asked how we might want it cooked) and fries an extra 4.50. The desserts were OK but the Eton Mess, well I've had much better. We did not order any wine and had drinks that included four pints of larger, a diet coke and two bottles of sparkling water. Overall, the experience was not good and at that standard very over priced. Had the quality been as we would have expected from a restaurant with their reputation we would not have question the prices at all as we knew what to expect, but on this occasion I feel we have been overcharged for mediocre food with a bill of 180.00 and come away not excited at all about ever coming back or recommending to anyone else to visit.
