Wow, a real homely pub doing great service and food. As good as it gets. Very generous portions. Can't wait to get back there.
Really enjoyed the food. Reasonably priced and good portion size. The service was a little slow, it was busy but we had to wait 20 minutes after we asked for the bill and due to covid we weren't allowed to pay at the bar.
Myself and the family visited one random Sunday and the food was brilliant, in hindsight probably because it was quiet. So I decided to give the girlfriend a day off from cooking and we went over. Honestly really disappointed with the overall food and service. Food was average and not a patch compared to the previous time, service was bad and we were asked if we wanted desserts, we said yes and waited 10mins for the menu whilst the waitress chatted to some of her friends. We went to pay at the till just to leave. Overall, there's better places about.
Sunday lunch to take away, ordered by phone, brought out to the car as soon as we arrived. Food was lovely and piping hot, will definitely be going back.
