Stopped by here for a quick early supper with my husband. I believe the pub is excellent. Very clean and well organized. The staff was very polite, prompt and covid compliant with social distancing. My husband had the fish n chips which was very yummy. I had the steak and ale pie of the day, I ate the whole thing.

OMG the best food well done all a valentines takeaway that was absolutely delicious. Still piping hot and so tasty I doubt there was a better takeaway anywhere
Ordered take a way fish and chip's for my parents and I. No hassel, very friendly service, delivered on time and was excellent food. Got a nice gold star from my Mum!
Fantastic Service, we had been going to the cricketers occasionally before lockdown, however since they’ve been doing a delivery/collection service we’ve ordered from them a lot and we intend to carry on doing so. The onion rings are probably the best that I have ever had and have a lot of flavour, the batter truly is the best. The burger also boasts a lot of flavour and is complemented nicely by the bacon and cheese on top. The only thing I would like to be different about the burger would be to have a different role perhaps, but this is only a minor thing. It really does make a difference in the fact that they’re using fresh meat. We recently went to a very expensive restaurant in Suffolk and were saying that the burgers there certainly didn’t compare to the cricketers. The only reason that I have given 4 stars rather than 5 is because on my most recent order yesterday the chips were slightly undercooked and not as fresh and the onion rings were over cooked and unfortunately this spoiled the flavour, however I am sure that this was a one off and does not represent the usual service as we haven’t had any issues with other takeaways from them. I will look forward to ordering/visiting the cricketers again shortly and wish the team the best success in running the pub through a tough time for us all.
Very nice lunch and very good COVID-19 systems in place so felt very safe. I can't say everything went smoothly but they were minor and corrected quickly with politeness which is all you can ask for. The staff asked first thing if we would like water for our dog, so it's not as if they don't give attention to detail.
