During these difficult times a warm welcome and a friendly smile are more important than ever, and the Cricketers Arms supplies these in abundance, from the owners Jenny and Graham (who have just recently taken the pub over), the wonderful bar staff, and the pub's many faithful regulars. The pub itself is a charming and comfortable old building set in a very pretty, commodious garden which is a delightful place to sit on a sunny day, or you can park yourself by the roaring log fire when it's cold. If all this were not enough to recommend it, a particular plus point for the Cricketers is its food: the Cricketers also has an excellent chef! An excellent regular menu is augmented by an imaginative and ever-changing specials board (which includes locally sourced game when available), and the quality is always outstanding. You really could not want for more!

Really incredible food, great service and great atmosphere. Genuinely think it's the best pub roast I've ever had. The menu has some really interesting options - the chef is excellent. Plus vegan options available. The menu available was much more extensive and interesting than on the website.
I liked my vegan burger I had recently just one comment I wished I made whilst I was there to ask that the gold salad that us in the burger to be on the side... Due to cold salad in the burger the whole thing looked massive, personally I also think the buns are to big. Amazing chips, best I had on long town, amazing location in the countryside, the staff friendly, covid measures in place, wood burner smell. It gets 5 starts and I will go back just need my salad on the side rather then in the burger.
What a beautiful place to eat!!! Excellent food and service. \Pub food\ become more sophisticated than in ever. Everyone will find something to eat, from meat eaters to trendy now vegans. Perfectly splendid!!! Come back here soon
