Pies, ales, whiskey and a show Robbie and his mother keep this place running like a well oiled machine. Be prepared for a compliment of tasty pies, a warm welcome and some cringe- worthy conversation (courtesy of the host). A definite must in the area. Great food at reasonable prices.

A thoroughly enjoyable, if slightly odd evening. The pies were great, nicely cooked and tasty, the chips were a little plain but crisp, the mushy peas just mushy peas and the gravy nice and tasty but probably bisto. It may sound that it didn't think much of the food but I really enjoyed it all. The price tag, at 8.95 for pie and chips is great. To cap it off the host, and his mum were a true comedy double act, slightly fringe comedy, but funny. Give the place a go!
Greats Pies, Great banter, good atmosphere, good prices, amazing host! All round good experience with interesting history about the RAF and other wars! 10 out of 10 would Visit again and dog friendly.
What a great place for a beer. First class hospitality from Robbie. Its the best pub in the area by a country mile. If you miss it you're missing out.
Fantastic food (seriously amazing, unique pies!) and good selection of drinks, but even better is the service! Friendly, welcoming staff that made the experience really enjoyable
