Brilliant staff here. Though I am always disappointed with the ale choice for a wetherspoons at this pub. ( But that does not mean it's bad but just not my choice of preferred types of ales). Plenty of seats spread out through an old courthouse and always feels nice and comfortable in here. There is also an outside beer garden that can be a real sun trap at times. Popular location for office workers at lunch and early evenings. Typical wetherspoons menu for all however, unlike most wetherspoons it rarely offers \specials\ where you can find food discounted. Great staff both behind the bar and who work in the kitchen and work the floor. Always like a visit here. Small amount of parking behind the pub do remember to input your registration details into the machine located at the bar to avoid any parking fines that will come this way. Staff should encourage parents that the paved garden IS NOT A PLAY AREA ..... for kids to run riot or ride toys while they drink .... for this reason I have taken off a star simple
Very well presented Spoons with a wealth of local history adorning the walls. One of my favourite JDW out 45 visited in the West Midlands. Good staff, food and beer. Also a nice beer garden
The food was passable but the eggs were hard the tomatoes were burnt, and the food should have been hotter. Had to walk round the place to get the drinks and again for condiments. I will not be going back as the menu had been reduced so that three of our party could not have what they went there for. There was no mention on the website to say what was available. On a lighter note the staff were excellent and very courteous, considering the pressure that they were under.
Nice place friendly staff food good but dont park out back of pub. caught out with a parking fine put us off visiting
