The best cream tea we've tasted outside the west country... The service is second to none, friendly relaxed atmosphere and freshly cooked meals and delicious cakes.
Lovely little place, friendly staff, good value for money. Lunches till 2.00pm. Great cakes but don't often indulge as even at my age as one has to think of the old waistline. Get there before 3.30pm as it shuts early.
Covid? What Covid! If you want somewhere safe and clean to eat this is the place! We eat out a lot and have seen some disturbing sights, but the Country Tea Shop will be our 'eat out' place for the foreseeable future. The staff constantly clean each and everything a customer has touched, the table and chairs were cleaned after each and every customer, they wear their face shields and constantly wash their hands. They also ensure no party sits near another party, they really do have it right. We feel safe eating there and we thank the staff for this. A little bit of heaven in these troubled times, oh and the food is AMAZING!!
Super Sunday lunch. Good food with friendly, Covid safe staff. You must try the lemon roulade!
