Went in with the intention to buy and try a new cheese and buy some onion marmalade. We politely asked if we would be able to taste test a cheese before buying; this was followed by a sharp, rude response 'no try before you buy allowed here'. Having frequented many delis post lockdown and being a lover of artisan produce, shop keepers have often offered to allow valued customers to taste the produce they sell. Will not be visiting again as the young floppy haired man at the counter made us feel unwelcome unworthy and to be there and frankly embarrassed to ask the question.

Good choice of cheeses and other products, mainly from the Cotswold area, although expensive. We took a bottle of Cotswold whisky at around 45, average price for this lovely whisky. Buying it in the area of production doesn't mean you'll pay less for it as I can find the same whisky online at 40. As I have spent 79, the remaining 34 were for 5 pieces of cheese. I've only eaten two of those pieces so far and they're OK but, 34? After paying I asked for the receipt for me to check prices for each product. The chap started panicking, he went to ask to somebody else and when he came back just printed a copy of my card payment receipt! What do I do with that? I just took it and left. No point of arguing. I was leaving Cotswold back to London. Do tourists get a different \service\ at Cotswold?
Wonderful cheese selection. Helpful staff who knew enough to help us pick some new cheeses that we absolutely loved. The olives, oils, vinegars and cured meats are wonderful.
Very good selection of cheeses not seen in the supermarket. Good selection of balsamic vinegars. Also lots of biscuits and breads to go with the cheese and wine to wash it down with. Staff very helpful and knowledgeable.
Lovely shop, lovely cheese but they dont have Venezuelan beaver cheese.
