Really glad we found this place. Food was wonderful, and service was attentive. Tiny bit above average price but it would feel like an evening abroad during the pandemic if it helps ;-)

Good food with reasonable prices (we had the bread sausage- very tasty) Lovely friendly staff. Quiet table found for us at last minute off the street good covid systems in place. They are continuing with takeaway through the lockdown
Wow, I’m writing this review whilst still in the Cork and Tile as I’ve got to share. We stumbled upon this gem tucked away on Gandy Street. We ordered a soup, goats cheese and spinach samosas, and Rissols with meat, shrimp, tuna and cake along with bacalhau cakes.. . Everything was AMAZING!! Perfect flavours, lovely setting, great service and a great price. We were in Exeter for an overnight stay. I’d happily travel again just to eat here.
I've only tried 2 dishes. 1.Bacalhau a la bras, the absence of Cod was dissapointing. 2.Polvo/Octopus There were more potatoes than octopus, specifically 1 mini and one medium tentacle which wasnt as tender as I was hoping. Overall I found it very expensive for the overall quality of the food, and quantity of non carbohydrates
Authentic Portuguese cuisine and I know what I’m talking about ; ) Great selection of dishes from North and South of Portugal. Worth mentioning the wines: again clever selection. A must in Devon
