We went to the Cookie Jar today to use the mother's days voucher I bought for my partner, and this place didn't disappoint. The afternoon tea slots are arranged so that Louise can personally bring them out and explain what was on it, which is a nice touch. The savoury pieces were some of the best i have had on an afternoon tea, and the sweets were lovely too!! Was a nice touch you can have any drink off the menu rather than just tea and filter coffee! Louise and her staff were also really good with our 2 year old daughter too. We will definitely be revisiting soon.
Had the ploughman's lunch and was delish. 2 rolls of ham, 1x beef, 4 large chunks of different cheeses, a lovely warm roll, whist pie, crisps, chutney, butter and celery all beautifully presented on the plate. I could only eat half, i was full. Lady was friendly and pleasant and prices reasonable, although was in the Eat out to help out deal, also had a cappuccino - total bill 4 something. I'll defo pop back for lunch again. 2 others were having the afternoon teas which looked lovely, fulfilling and seemed good value. Would recommend for a decent sit down lunch in Leyland.
Afternoon Tea ordered at short notice was accepted and delivered on time .The sandwiches, and all else was so tasty. All eaten, no leftovers. It was delicious l. The scones best ever that I have ever eaten.Can definately recommend the food ,staff and service of the Cookie Jar, Leyland.
Fantastic afternoon tea. Highly recommended and great value. We'll be back.
