The Best garden with playground for kids I ever seen. Shame we been there just for holiday, otherwise we will be there every day. Staff was fantastic as well. Toilets clean and tidy Really recommend this place for families

The Comet is a reliable pub for good, no nonsense pub food. We stay at the Haven Park opposite once a year, and always book into the Comet for a meal. This year, we went for Sunday roast. I called the day before to book a table, and was pleasantly surprised by how quiet the place was at lunchtime. A very straightforward menu was on offer - gammon, turkey or beef. A good sized portion with nicely crisped roast potatoes, plenty of meat, massive Yorkshire puddings, and lots of veg that were still al dente - nothing worse than overcooked veg. We were given a big jug of gravy, which was also good. The staff were friendly and helpful, and there was a decent selection of drinks on tap and in bottles. We'll be back again, and definitely recommend it for food!

We ate here three out of four days as my mummy’s friend, Alan, liked it so much. The staff is warm friendly and were patient with Alan needing various tables and chairs moved so that he could charge his mobility scooter. The staff were welcoming to a talking teddy bear!

Great food, Customer sevice was spot on. Man behind the bar (assuming the owner) couldn't do more to look after us. Kids loved the play area. We're going again before we come home thank you
