Sorry to amend my review from 5 to 3...but the older lady who works on the front of house needs to seriously learn how to talk to people. Strange way to talk to customers. My 62 year year old mother walked to the counter to ask about the soup of the day and was told to \step back behind the line\ - fair enough with the Covid situation, but it was said very abruptly. The lady then said \soup is on the board. And it's on that board too\ and pointed to a distant specials board, and that was the extent of the conversation. Lovely food and the other staff are great, but seriously I hope the owner(s) see this.

Delicious food, lovely atmosphere and reasonable prices. Staff were friendly and went out of their way to help. Lovely historical building in a picturesque village. Well worth a trip out.
