Excellent home made sandwiches and carrot cake. Lovely atmosphere plus a wee gift shop if so inclined! Would have given it 5 stars but it was on the small side for those with a larger frame Back again, Scotch broth was superb and the carrot cake again. Coffee was a bit on the weak side otherwise fantastic wee place.

A quaint, old little Tudor house/building, in a corner, so hidden from the main road. Original stonework walls inside, and the original features and wooden beams on the ceiling. Also sells giftware, soaps, jewellery, jams, teas, sweets, ornaments and other nice little gifts. The food itself is very reasonably priced. Nothing is overpriced, and the ladies who work there are very nice and friendly. Makes a change from being served by school leavers and students.
Nice location, nestled in the corner of the High Street. The food is simple and homemade, such as home bakes , soup, toasted sandwiches, baked Potatoes. I think the building is historic, a law building, and the inside is bare brick. Space is limited but its cosy. Table service here, there are a lot of waitresses so you are always served quickly. It's popular but even so I've always managed to find a table and even when busy it's not noisy. Also sells a selection of gifts.
Tea, food and cakes are good and well priced. The coffee wasn't the best unfortunately, but the service was fantastic.
Very good coffee... outstanding service... Good choice of food and decently priced....
