This fish and chip shop is definitely a 5. The food is always cooked fresh, it’s incredible clean and the service by Mathew and his team is always consistently first class. To be honest I am not typically a fish and chip person or at least that’s what I thought!. My past experiences of many other fish and chip shops, is soggy batter and chewy chips!. This is far from the truly positive experience of The Cod Father at jubilee square. Fresh fish with crispy light batter and chips that are fresh. The shop is large enough to allow for proper social distancing, allowing for safe collection or you can opt for delivery through Deliveroo and what’s more is as an owner operated, which definitely shines through with the passion and consistency. My advice is to give it try if you like fish and chips and if you thought you don’t like fish and chips, like me give it a try!

The only chip shop in town we eat from, the food is always fresh and tastes delicious! Presentation from front of house to how the food is packaged is second to non ! Great job guys fabulous
The food was fresh and tasted amazing. The fish is really perfect and chips not soggy...good salt and vinegar balance. Customer service was great good social distancing. definitely recommend.
So impressed with this fish and chips shop, by far the best I've ever had. Not only is the food incredible, the staff are so polite and friendly it's always a pleasure to deal with them. Would certainly recommend - I'm hooked!
