Food is always amazing! I always appreciate how much effort the boss puts in, literally working as hard as his employees! The fish batter is the perfect balance between too thin and too thick. He is even generous with his portions! Keep it up and go visit! Very worth it!

Have you ever walked through watermead park and caught the aroma of a chippy nearby and then gone to The Codfather and had some of the best chips in Leicester whilst continuing your walk?! If not, then get on down to this place! The chips are 10/10 and unique! Not like your standard chippy chips. I'd say a cross between the chippy style but with a nice crunchy outside like Amsterdam style chips. The vinegar they use is nice and tangy and of top notch quality. Swift service with a smile and a very lovely chap all round! Pop in on your next walk or whenever else you are getting the urge for some amazing chips. Serving some of the best chips anywhere and definitely THE best chips in the Thurmaston/Birstall/Syston areas. You will not be disappointed!!
Not been here in a long time. The chips were great. Fish bites went down well with the kids. Fish is cooked to order. Great service. Will definitely be going back when I'm around that area

Enormous portions. One portion of haddock and chips would have been enough for two of us had I known in advance. Crispy batter on good quality moist fish. Mushy peas are as good as the north of England where I normally live, but I am currently staying with my elderly father in Leicester. Great friendly prompt service following a phone order. I will be back from Manchester.
