We had a Christening here and we were truly looked after from the fantastic staff as soon as we stepped through the door. The food was first class the pub it self is beautiful and believe me we will be back again. Many thanks to you all for a fabulous day.

Fantastic lunchtime 2 for 1 fish and chip friday
Lovely welcoming place and quick service.. had the friday special of battered fish twice cooked crunchy fries home made tartare sauce, peas all for 14 for two .. i shared this lovely experience with my younger brother Kyle.. all together a nice lunch in a wonderful old country pub.
Probably the best food I had during my visit in England!!!! Ok story time: It is 3 of us traveling around Europe and having an adventure. We were passing by from London on our way to Italy through way of Stansted Airport. We were lucky to find an Airbnb in this small town and what an amazing treat. Our host was the best ever! She even called for us to reserve a table since it was a Saturday night and it might be busy. Walked in the middle of the dark to the pub with a flashlight, and got there to a cozy restaurant that smelled great! Now I can imagine being a local and being welcomed with warm regards, thus being complete strangers and not getting a greeting of any kind isn’t a big deal. We sat down and were given a menu to review over. Two teens were the waiting staff and seemed eager to interact with locals. When the food finally came out....damnnnn! What a surprise! Delicious food, big portions and the presentation and flavors matched that of any fine dining restaurant in a big metropolis. Whoever the chef(s) here is, hats of to you! Would absolutely take some detour if I am ever around this part of the world, it was THAT good! Food: Vegetarian lasagna, garlic bread and salad Steak frites Something with truffle mash....lol Sticky toffee pudding
Good Atmosphere, fantastic food and great for family's with good outside space. Good amount of parking which is always nice to see
