Disappointing, very poor quality food ingredients, not cooked thourghly, i.e. hand cut chips \freshly prepared\ - not! Scampi & fish dish over fried. Coffee not hot enough, very underwhelming & like the moon - no atmosphere, coupled with annoying noisy kids. Lackluster premium Whickham outlet which is meant to be a decent gastro pub not a children's cresh / library.

really nice food and friendly staff. Prices were reasonable and very much enjoyed our visit to this recently refurbed pub. will definately go back.
