Good food, friendly service and excellent ambience expected from a fine dining restaurant. Everything food wise was good and tasty from the starters to the desserts although the sirloin steak could have been a bit better presented as it looked/feel like a cheaper steak which is rathar unusual for this type of dining but that's perhaps just due to my expectation levels.

Covid times seems to mean limitations on quality and service. The decor and surroundings of this place hint at a fine-dining establishment but in truth the Sunday lunch and service was on par with a lot of mid-range pubs. The food was mediocre but perfectly edible although items were missing from the dishes. To be fair the price was similar to a gastropub too. I just expected more

EXCEPTIONALLY DISAPPOINTED at this restaurant . My husband and I booked this restaurant 2 months in advance as the place to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. When we arrived we were shocked they had NO record of our booking. As we tried to explain it as for a special occasion the young guy wasn't paying us any attention and said you can have the table by the door but there's nothing else available. We accepted the table but we were then ignored for quite some time. We were shocked at the menu which certainly did not live up to the pictures of food we had seen on their own website and ended up having what i can only describe as PUB GRUB. After the meal we decided to have a coffee and i asked if I could have a baileys liqueur coffee. I could not believe my eyes when i was brought a latte coffee with a shot of baileys delivered in a coffee mug ! How they managed to get onto the Michelin food guide is a mystery to us. Certainly a memorable 40th wedding anniversary meal but for all the wrong reasons.
