Lovely staff nice restoration job on the interior but I'm afraid to say the food we found was over priced and mediocre 14 pounds for a roast dinner consisting of 2 thin slices of beef 2 roast potatoes tasting of cooking oil a small amount of mashed potatoes and a good selection of vegetables but in rather small amounts having to be shared between 5 people, yes we ate what we where served and we had sweet at another 5 pounds per person but where still hungry after leaving. There are countless pubs serving carveries within a 5 mile radius of the clock face which are a lot better value for money for instance Toby carvery 8.49 for a roast dinner with unlimited veg and potatoes. As much as I dislike all day carveries I would say that they offer a better value for money than the clock face

Fab refurb. .food was excellent (Sunday roast ) plenty of everything. .. (ate it all ) staff excellent. Good beer. But couldn't drink much after eating my dinner. .well worth a visit. .well done to all at the pub. .
Great food and great service. Coming the week of Christmas in these uncertain times, we were welcomed warmly and felt at home whilst feeling that all the Covid steps had been taken. A good range is of beers and spirits (especially Gin) and the food was very tasty. We will be definitely coming back here!
What an amazing pub, food was fabulous, we had the festive menu and it was first class everything was cooked perfectly. staff were so attentive, polite and helpful we could not have found better anywere else. Well done to you all. Thank you for a lovely evening xx
Poor service had to wait ages just for a drink ! Menu very limited, prices higher than other pubs which I felt wasn't justified. No social distancing. Bit disappointing after all the hype.
