Best quality food in the area. Far better priced than any others I know in the area. The only problem I have is that I am now spoilt for going anywhere else. The menu is nicely varied and balanced. Good variety of drink at very reasonable prices. Well kept beers.

Had a pint which smelt and tasted like sewage asked the barmaid to sniff and see if she could confirm it as fifty shades of wrong but her sense of smell only works on the beer she drinks. Said nothing more but decided no return and no Christmas card, she kindly poured it down sink for me which made me feel better as it was going where it came from . Put a fiver in my swear box when I got home
Just had 3 really lovely meals at The Clarence.Cheese and onion pie and a children's nuggets...Portions were excellent and beautifully cooked.We love hot food and not disappointed.This was certainly value for money and will return again to try other dishes on the menu.
A brilliant community pub, perfect for families, with a great atmosphere. Ally and Leah are really friendly, welcoming and have completely transformed this pub, and we regularly come down to have a meal and a few drinks. The food is excellent, we've never been disappointed. Music, pool, table football, darts, karaoke - even a pub choir on Monday evenings! Lots to do, and a great place to while away a few hours - love this place.
Recommended by a friend, so called in with my wife and kids for Sunday dinner. Very glad we did, really nice dinners. Good portions and nice and hot. Really friendly bar staff who were very helpfully. Will be going back again soon.
