Went on what seemed like a very busy Friday night.. Total wait time was probably about 30 mins, which considering the current pandemic isn’t too bad... Heard a few grumbles from other customers outside. The way I see it , before we go anywhere now, the supermarket, shopping , takeaways etc , we have to be prepared to queue or have a bit of a wait. What’s the point in moaning , we should all be used to it by now . We have to remember the staff in these establishments are trying their best. (Especially the lady on the till in this particular shop) she does an excellent job and one for sure I know that I couldn’t do. At least I can honestly say I had one of the best meals from this takeaway and the whole family said the same. So what if I have to wait longer than usual, we have to remember that restaurants are closed so I’m sure all the takeaways are under extra pressure accommodating a lot more customers that what they are used to. Point of my review is to commend this establishment on excellent standard of food, the service and to tell people to quit moaning about having to wait. At least I know I’m getting a good meal every time I come to The Chippy!

Best chip shop I have ever been in! Ordered fish and chips and absolutely amazing . Fish was cooked to perfection and the chips were the nicest I have ever had . Must also mention the premises is spotless and the server was extremely friendly .

The server is incredibly unprofessional. Ordered through the app - arrived and was told I didn’t place an order, wasn’t accepted that I did until I proved the money had left my bank account. No apology was giving at any stage and was told that they don’t check the app orders regularly and I should have called it in. Had a few encounters now with the same server, all negative. Fantastic food but she really makes visiting the shop unenjoyable.
