The Chester Fields Country Pub, Restaurant & Wedding Venue

Being a resident of Chester we use Chester fields quite regularly. In normal times the food, staff and venue is always good. Having been given a 50 gift voucher for Xmas we thought we'd use some of it and order a takeaway Sunday lunch for two. My wife called to order and was told that it would be 29 when she informed the call taker she wanted to pay with the voucher she was told that she would lose the whole value of the voucher! Now I could understand rounding the cost upto 30 and getting a 20 voucher back or 1 cash and a voucher but to loose 21 is rather excessive! I contacted the restaurant via their website requesting a copy of their terms and conditions re the vouchers as none are posted on the site and also requested either a refund or 5 x 10 vouchers but got no response. As I have previously stated the place/food is nice just one to watch for should you consider buying a 10- 500 voucher for a loved one

Very friendly staff, good big portions, presented very nicely. Was a very good price as every Tuesday through January 50% off 2 courses, and I'm told by staff it is the same deal every 3rd Tuesday of the month normally. I went for the mixed grill pictured below. Also the interior design of the whole place was beautiful. Will definitely be coming back the next time we visit Chester Zoo as it's only 10min away by car. Thank-you.

Ate here last night. Service is great, friendly staff and the pub itself is a really nice space. But the food is typical mass produced pub fare. Not offensive, but lacking any originality and lacking a bit of quality as well. But still decent enough.

Picked up a gorgeous afternoon tea from here. Sandwiches and cakes were excellent and plenty there for 3, although bought for 2. Recommended!

What a find on a late journey up to Liverpool! Went for the 3 course vegan menu: mushrooms starter, \fake steak and chips\ main and the coconut jelly dessert. Very happy with all choices in terms of beautifully presented, tasty dishes, 5 star service - thanks for having me!
