Great place for a chill out in these covid times. Good range of regular ales and reasonably priced wines. Limited lunch menu should suit all types. Open 12 till 10 with limited seating So if you're lunching get in early. A locals pub but very accepting of 'tourists'. Often you can join in the chat as the place is small. The bar person Joy is great and makes everyone feel at ease old or young and is quite happy to chat.

A fantastic pub. Small, but fantastic. The building itself is the oldest in Dartmouth dating back to 1380. A very nice drop of Old Rosie Cider is served. Had a very nice cheese and pickle sandwich with salad and coleslaw... yum yum. Would recommend.
What a gem of a place! We went there for dinner to celebrate the 66th birthday of a disabled man who would not have managed the stairs. The staff were unbelievably understanding and accommodating: we were served downstairs with the best suet pudding and seafood sharer platter we've ever eaten, followed by complimentary birthday apple pie. George, behind the bar, could not have been kinder with her attention and sense of humour. This is the kind of place you leave feeling sated and utterly happy. Thank you so much guys. Perfect food, perfect staff, perfect night!
Great food. Amazing staff and service. Fantastic price and divine location.
We had heard and seen such great reviews for the cherub bit sadly it didn't met expections. The staff were friendly and very busy. The starter arrived and was very nice but the mains were disappointing. My partner had fillet steak. It came to table and it looked dumped on top of a hill of green beans and sauteed potatoes and swimming in a weak red wine sauce. The steak was good but my partner wouldn't eat any if the other items on the plate.Mine was a chicken burger and the chicken was so dry and again the plate wasn't attractive to the eye at all.Sadly we were disappointed.
