Extremely pleasant surroundings. Didnt get the landlady's name (which is a shame) but she made my party very welcome, and took the time out to engage in chit chat throughout our visit. Well worth a visit..

What a lovely pub. We stayed in Watlington for a week and stumbled upon The Chequers. The owners are kind and friendly and the food is really good!
Good old fashioned home cooking. Great value
Lovely old country pub with a great garden and play area for children it also has a little conservatory. A full British menu (a tad on the pricey side) I t’s worth a visit especially on a hot day - the sounds of the birds is relaxing.
I love the food and friendly atmosphere
