What more could you want? Sitting by a warm fire while eating some of the best food we have ever had with happy staff making sure we had everything we needed. The wagyu and beef tenderloin were both cooked to perfection and paired beautifully with the vegetables on the plate. My husband never eats his vegetables, but he took a real liking to these ones with the contrasting crunch of the oats. The marquise for dessert was presented beautifully on the plate with lots of elements to make you go, ‘Wow’ and it tasted as good as it looked. As a special treat for our honeymoon we were paired with dessert wines based on our earlier selections which my husband and I both enjoyed. Thank you for an amazing experience, we will definitely be returning next time we are in the Hunter. -Jessica & Patrick

Absolutely phenomenal. As someone who regularly travels with a dog, it can be difficult to have a nice lunch for various reasons.. The Cellar absolutely exceeded expectations in every aspect. The lamb, absolutely stunning and incredible value for money. (Designed to feed two, but you’d probably do 4!) perfectly cooked and seasoned. Potatoes dauphine done perfectly, crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and the perfect compliment. Service - top notch, attentive, fast, warm and welcoming and even tended to the pups needs too with a water bowl and offering to wrap up leftovers for later. Rounded off with a great outdoor space that’s also covered for any changes in weather.

Excellent food and service. Only constructive criticism is they could make the decor a little warmer to make it more inviting. Also, the lamb was excellent but needed something with it. Overall, really enjoyed it with friendly service

We had lunch at The Cellar for our wedding anniversary and it was lovely. A big open space so we felt safe and it made the room quite quiet. We shared some oysters to start and they were lovely and fresh and salty. We both choose the salmon duo entree which was also lovely. I had the kingfish for main which was perfectly cooked although the accompanying vegetables were a bit of a challenge to eat, especially the broccoli stem. My wife went for the blue swimmer crab (which was still in the shell) and she loved it. A very nice lunch and we would certainly recommend dining here.

The service here was almost non existent but the food is amazing! Small portions which are cooked to perfection and still quite filling. I had the Steak Tenderloin Medium and it was delicious!

A very nice restaurant and evening. Skip the entree as they were very average for the price. You must order dessert when you are here - it is absolutely sensational! A bit expensive for what you are getting but the desserts make it worth it.

Can’t recommend the Cellar more !! Me and my girl friends had a wonderful dinner experience in Hunter Valley. The staffs were friendly with patient. We ordered roast vegetables as our entree (sweet potato, Broccolini, carrots etc) then three of us ordered the beef tenderloin, we loved the duck fat potato!! The potato thin slices were stack like lasagna , with this amazing layer texture. Even though we were full , we decided to order one each of the desserts. And we didn’t know the desserts were actually the spotlight of the meal. Instead the pastry/cake with some dip, they added a lot of different textures leveled up the flavor, we all had our favorite one. Definitely try the desserts!!!!!

Fantastic experience. Food was divine, would return tomorrow if we weren’t leaving tomorrow ! Kindly appreciated the help from our waiter for the night Christie. Me and and my wife planned to share half of each dish and she initially guided us off our choices, she was wise and lead us towards the beef tenderloin and duck, both of which were outstanding. Would recommend to anyone. From service, to atmosphere to quality of food couldn’t fault in any regard. A must visit.
