Social Distancing was done perfectly, The young man who took my order informed me that he was just learning the tills but even knowing this information I could not fault him at all, his customer service was to the highest standard as he swiftly but patiently took my order. The young lady behind the bar was also lovely and helped with an incorrect order which was down to my fussy fiance. Overall the food was amazing, customer service was to a very high standard and the drinks were presented in nice clean glasses. I would 100% re-visit and would highly recommend to anyone that is looking for quality food and service!

Fantastic welcome, even for Daisy the dog! In COVID times minimum fuss, which is nice. Great food, served quickly, would visit again. Friendly and conscientious staff. Highly recommended.

There is nothing better than microwaved stake on a plate that tastes like chair leg and the chicken beset that was in the freezer since WW1 and need gallon of water to finish the bite, do not get me wrong if you only care about amazing customer service then that is the place to go but if you want some eatable food then go to Iceland down the road. P.S the photo showed 3 onion rings but i only received 2!!
Just visited The Castle earlier this evening, we were hungry after a long walk around the lovely views of Bangor. We will not be visiting again, my partner ordered mixed grill, I ordered Gammon, after being told there was no steak for the mixed grill not that we minded but after waiting 40 minutes for our food. Being served with our coke for drinks one with no ice , they came both with ice which filled three quarters of the glass after asking for another with no ice was told by the waiter I couldn't get all the ice out so he left some ice in and just topped the same glass up. Needless to say the food was awful, onion rings under done, gammon was tough, chips were stale and cold , the chicken from the mixed grill was like no chicken I've tasted before and dry. Looked like the food was thrown together with a small pineapple drowning underneath the gammon with the dry chips. I've eaten in the Castle before but the standard of food has gone down, will not be re visiting. We still feel after three hours the food has not settled on our stomachs. Very dissapointed.
