Brought 95 year Mum for tea, posh sausage roll and sticky toffee pud. All boxes ticked, sat in garden, good social distancing, very friendly and efficient staff. I had a lovely red wine, will be back.

Been there twice recently, once gor lunch outside and once for dinner inside. Lovely service and food, definitely not your average pub grub. Lobster salad for a tenner and soft shelled crab burger for 13 as part of ongoing eat out to help discounts. Apparently they have good beers, we had some nice wine.

During better times its always nice to sit outside. Went out for a last \hurrah \ last night hadn't booked but they still squeezed me in excellent friendly and professional staff considering they'll be in \furlough \ for the next few weeks. Wonderful people running a very nice olde pub!

My roast was cold and tasteless, the calamari we ordered for starter was over fried and super salt, kids burger bun was so hard that he couldn’t eat it, it was looking super dry as well. We didn’t order dessert as not only the food was cold, the pub was super cold and our children couldn’t stand the cold any longer. Staff are incredibly friendly and helpful and they followed Covid protocols, it’s a huge shame we didn’t enjoy our meal.

Lovely Sunday roasts. Generous portions, well prepared. Staff are super helpful, were efficient and on hand without rushing us and genuinely seemed interested in ensuring you had a good meal. I really like the open kitchen element; from quite a few of the seats, you can see into the food prep area, so you get a sense of how much effort goes into preparing the food and presenting it immaculately. It certainly helped me build up an appetite! I'd recommend booking in advance as it does get busy. That and make sure you get the Cauliflower Cheese on the side!
