Friendly shop assistant at point of entry. Chose and ordered a bed and mattress. Given a time scale of 3 weeks for delivery. Requested- and was promised- that assembly was part of the service. 6 weeks later, received the component parts of a bed at the end of the day- 2 hours later than promised. No assembly. Was referred to the shop and was told that I would have been informed that it was delivery only at the point of sale- not the case. I could pay a surcharge for assembly, but, given the time it took to receive it- twice the promised time- goodness knows when it would have happened. Altogether, despite a promising start, a disappointing and unsatisfactory experience. Will buy online next time. I had wanted to support local business, but what's the point?

Excellent service. We have bought 2 mattresses and had all the flooring in our new house supplied and fitted by the carpet and bed shop.They provide good old fashioned service where nothing is too much trouble.
