Lovely little place near the beach. They have limited seating so be prepared to wait if it is busy. They seemed to be a little bit short staffed and could have used an extra member of staff. The young lady with blonde hair was working very hard and was accommodating when we asked if we could sit upstairs in the quiet. Food is delicious and fresh. Good decor and good social distancing measures.

Late review. Came for a week. Has potential as a lovely spot, but here and Red lion must be using the same supplier. Dead food. We ended up cooking in the apartment for the rest of the week.
Found this little gem of a place when visiting Woolacombe for the day. We arrived at 9.45am and was given a table straight away. It was very busy which is always a good sign. We were seen to by a waitress almost immediately. We both ordered a breakfast and drinks. Drinks came really quickly and despite the amount of people in there the food came within 10mins. The food was hot and obviously freshly cooked. What a feast, 2 sausages and not the small kind either, 2 bacon, fried egg, cooked perfectly, beans and fried bread. If needed we could have substituted any item. I would go to say this was the best breakfast I've had. The staff were very friendly and courteous at all times and to everyone. Social distancing measures were in place and tables were separated with perspex screens. I would highly recommend The Captains Table.
Pleasant setting with really good food. Staff were professional and appeared at just the right times as if by magic.
The Captains Table is a great local restaurant, they have a range of vegan options which is always good. The pasta was delicious, really recommend the poached salmon tagliatelle. Staff were nice and helpful too. My only concern is that it could have been a bit cleaner, tables and chairs were slightly sticky.
