I honestly tend to only give positive reviews but I feel compelled to review my last meal here, especially after visiting many other premium restaurants since. Had not been to Capital Grille in a while but must say I was disappointed this time around (October 2020). Anniversary reservation well in-advance for two, and we were stuck in the middle of a large room that felt like a banquet hall. If we had booked our table two nights before, totally understand but this was not the case. Seems people out on-the-town for cocktails were getting better service than us. Whilst we were trying to enjoy our quiet meal a large “pop up” round table was assembled right next to us accommodating a group of drinkers (not diners). I don’t mind spending this kind of for a good meal but I would expect better and just simply a more premium experience. Food was good but not amazing. The iPad wine list needs to go (and mine was low on battery so I felt rushed to choose a wine). Also, we were contacted about our evening and promised a return call from the manager. It never happened. I wish I didn’t feel this way about it because I used to love eating at CGs including the old location in KC.
Our server was Lauren and she was a HIT!!! Absolutely 10/10, she was outgoing, sweet, and helped us celebrate a work milestone with ease. Also her manager Kelly came by as the night started to check in. The service here is unmatched, not to mention the fabulous food. I cannot recommend this place enough.
Great food better service!! Wish I remembered bartenders names there was 3 of them all super cool and knowledgeable. As a chef myself its nice to see people who know their menu and can relay it.
