The Burstead Golf Club

This review is for the function area only and not for the golf course. I just attended our works Christmas meal, they were catering for around 60 guests so it was a fairly busy event. The bar staff doubled up as waiters and waitresses and when food was being served it was difficult to get a drink, as all the staff except for one were waiting on tables. One of the guests requested glutton free dishes but unfortunately the staff served him with the same food as the rest of us, fortunately he noticed and the problem was soon rectified. Following that mishap the staff were really good and exceptionally careful to make sure it didn't happen again. The food was lovely, it arrived fairly quickly and was piping hot. The staff were helpful and polite and tried to help wherever possible. There's plenty of parking, on the downside the toilets desperately needed a clean and one of the urinals was blocked and stunk and the waste paper towel bin was overflowing. That said, there was over 60 men using 2 toilets and 3 urinals so unless they were monitored regularly it's was never going to be good. Would I recommend this place to friends for a function? Yes I would. To summarise, most of the important things were good and that's what matters. I hope this helps. Please see my pictures
