A proper old school pub, not the biggest choice of real ale, but the landlady did say it's a lager drinkers pub, because that's what the locals like. The beer was excellent, the food was traditional pub grub, and plenty of it. I thought this would be a passing trade pub due to its location, but it was thriving and full of locals supporting their local, who were all friendly, chatty and able to help out my friend (who had just moved to the area) with advice and business cards! I will be returning shortly!!
